New paper in Communications Biology: Infants' spontaneous movements explore arm dynamics

New publication from our group out in Communications Biology (Nature Portfolio).

Juan H. García-Guzmán, Eduardo Ros, and Niceto R. Luque have published a new study showing that infant spontaneous arm movements are not random — they systematically engage arm dynamics more extensively than goal-directed reaching motions. Using a synthetic data-driven framework comparing real infant recordings against two reference datasets, the work reveals that spontaneous movements are dynamically rich and display higher kinematic variability, suggesting a structured exploratory strategy for sensorimotor development.

You can find the full paper and video abstract in our publications section. Congratulations to all involved!
